We currently have an opportunity for a Lead-Shift Maitenance at our Manufacturing Plant in Appleton, WI.

ROTATING SHIFT HOURS - NIGHTS AND DAYS
(12 Hour Shift)

As the Lead-Shift Maitenance you will coordinate shift maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment to support equipment reliability, production continuity, safety, and team effectiveness. The position prioritizes maintenance work in alignment with manufacturing requirements, including daily production planning and changeovers, while communicating closely with Shift Supervisors and maintenance associates. The Mechanic Lead provides coaching and on-the-job training, reinforces maintenance standards and lean behaviors, and supports root-cause solutions that improve equipment uptime and minimize reclaim. The role works independently within established priorities while providing day-to-day leadership, feedback, and direction to the maintenance team.

Maintenance Leadership

• Coordinating shift maintenance activities to ensure proper work prioritization.
• Ensure alignment with manufacturing including daily planning such as changeovers.
• Effectively communicating with Shift Supervisor and other maintenance associates to ensure team success.
• Providing feedback on underperforming maintenance associates and team training needs.

Team Development

• Providing coaching and on-the-job training to improve individual and team skills of other maintenance associates and production team members.
• Demonstrated ability to complete a task to the end, to include training and learning.
• Must have the ability to learn and continually develop skills.

Continuous Improvement

• Audit maintenance lean behaviors to include standard work compliance in order to drive to root cause solutions vs. temporary fixes.
• Have demonstrated technical aptitude, the motivation and ability to gain additional knowledge, and the capability to use that technical knowledge to improve processes and develop associates’ skills.
• Have the ability to work independently, patiently directing the work team to maximize equipment uptime and minimize reclaim.

Safety and Workforce Coordination

• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and achievement of safety goals coordinating shift vacation coverage.
• Be organized and adapt to change in order to efficiently manage their time and the team’s priorities.

Team Effectiveness

• Have a good understanding of the capabilities of their team and equipment and must also build a solid level of trust within their team. 
• Understand the need to effectively communicate and delegate as well as professionally manage conflict and confrontation.
• Maintain customer focus and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
